HISTORY OF FRIENDS IN SERVICE
In Uganda sex and related issues are not discussed in open according to culture. The Parents fear and feel shy to talk to their sons and daughters about sex and its bad outcomes. this has resulted into rapid sread of HIV/AIDS amongst the youth.
We ,the medical students decided to form an organisation Friends in service as a means of creating awareness to the youth about their health. We provide sexual education to the young people.
Friends in service is a non-profit youth, voluntary, community based organisation.
Our primary objective is to reduce young peoples' health problems sepecially the incidence of HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections.
